The Emmys just taught me that John Dye died a while back

I mean. Obviously I’m not the Christian type. But I always enjoyed the Touched by an Angel show and its preachy ways. In my head it was always so much more enjoyable to ignore the fact that it’s a Christian show and just imagine that they were just random, magical beings. Like friendly-but-tall leprechauns (the one lady was actually Irish, wasn’t she?). I always thought the show did a lot to fictionalize Christian ideals anyway, which I found satisfaction in. Like, how divine is an idea if it can be made into a weekly tv drama with comedic moments like the-angel-getting-drunk-for-the-first-time-accidentally-in-a-bar? That seems like a joke Family Guy would do.

Anyway. I’m totally sad now. He died when he was 47. That’s way too young for anyone.
